The mission of the Utah Commission on Volunteers is to improve communities
through service and volunteering.

The Commission has four Basic Responsibilities:

  1. Administer AmeriCorps state programs within Utah.

  2. Administer Utah Citizen Corps programs which include the following Pillar Programs:
  3. * Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT)
    * Neighborhood Watch (NW)
    * Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)
    *
    Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS)
    * F
    ire Corps (FC)

  4. Promote youth service efforts in Utah.

  5. Promote volunteering by connecting to Utah's Volunteer Centers.
