Ron Finnerty Point of Light #211

Ron had a dream, and recently, he achieved it. For years, he had wanted to open a greatly needed soup kitchen in St. George. After many hours spent organizing, planning and marketing his idea, Ron obtained support from businesses and organizations in the St. George area. In 2004, the soup kitchen opened, serving a free hot lunch once a week, and soon it will serve two meals a week.
Ron also volunteers on the Salvation Army board in St. George, and as Kettle Campaign Captain for the Salvation Army. As Kettle Campaign Captain he is responsible for recruiting and scheduling volunteer bell ringers during the holiday season.
