Sarah Hatch

Sarah, a senior at Northridge High in Layton, serves as president of the Layton Youth Court. The Layton Youth Court is a diversionary juvenile program, allowing first-time youth offenders to keep their juvenile record clean. Sarah has served with the court for four years, acting as judge, clerk, bailiff and mentor. Sarah genuinely cares about those she serves, going out of her way to help those she mentors.
Sarah also serves as president of Youth of Promise in Davis County. With Youth of Promise, Sarah is helping to design a 9/11 memorial at the Kaysville Botanical Gardens. Sarah also serves with FBLA, DECA and her church youth group. Karlene Peart, director of the Layton Youth Court, said of Sarah's service, "It is a breath of fresh air to see someone as young as Sarah doing so much for the improvement of the community."
